I can’t wait to hear the words “This is your pilot speaking. Welcome aboard!”

2020 has been one for the history books. OR lack there of, with virtual school and all. 🙂 For a frequent traveler like myself, life has become very boring. First, it was new and everyone enjoyed being home to binge Netflix and clean out cabinets. #weareallinthistogether became the new tagline. Who thought the “temporary norm” would be our “extended norm”?! Now, it has gotten old and the Facebook warriors are fussing over whether or not to wear a mask!

I miss airports. I miss standing in security lines. I miss going through the x-ray machine. I miss Delta Sky Lounge mac and cheese! I miss my pre flight ritual of an overpriced extra spicy Bloody Mary (or two)! I miss rushing. YES, I EVEN MISS DELAYS!

I am ready to travel. I am ready to sight see. I am ready to be a tourist. I am ready to pack my bags. I am ready to get lost in the clouds. I am ready for less than smooth landings. I am just ready.

Stay safe out there.

Signed,

Awaiting Take Off!

Kicking it off with a recent dinner review. Cashman’s Pub-Macon Georgia.

Cashman’s Pub in Downtown Macon, Ga. My full review. We were recommended this place by a server at another restaurant, so why not?

We started with the gouda bacon bites. Amazing. The longer they sat, the firmer the cheese and more the flavors blended.

We also had the buffalo chicken egg rolls. Basically like a buffalo chicken fried burrito with just the right amount of sauce.

I had the bacon jam burger. Who doesn’t like bacon, marmalade and fried egg on a burger? I chose onion rings as my side. Over cooked, but I was too full to eat them anyway.

Jay got the American. Typical burger with the fixings and he really enjoyed it. He did forget to add bacon, but I had enough falling off mine to share.

Nice ambiance. You walk into the long bar area with many TVs with the games on. There was seating at high and low tables, as well as a stage area for live entertainment. There was an elevated area that had railing around it, I am assuming for bigger groups or reserved parties. There was also an upstairs area and patio seating too! The bartender was also the server and was very busy, but super polite. I feel it was busy enough to have an additional person working.

We give it a 7/10 bc we haven’t tried Wing Wednesday (advertised as White Claw and Wing Wednesday–way to “cash” in on the latest rave!) YET! Looking forward to all of the other starters, as well!

Fyi…we could finish nothing. We will be back fo sho!

What am I even doing?

The purpose of my blog isn’t really clear, much like my vision without my contacts! I get to fall asleep on many different pillows. I get to use forks at many different tables. I get to find many crumbled receipts in the bottom of my bag. I get to stand in many long lines. You get the picture. I like to travel, eat, and shop.

I guess this blog will be used so that I can keep up with my adventures and maybe entertain a few people along the way. I never know where I am going to end up or what I will say about it. My plan is to share this crazy life from my local community and from the places I go where I do not speak the language and the off centered, sometimes blurry photos I take. Who knows where the road will lead?
